Hear from the students!
"Having such a tight-knit community has given me opportunities to grow as a student through personal relationships I've developed with students and my professors. There is so much support in the department."
-Jenson T.
"Something I love about the EML community is how supportive and involved we all are!"
-Audrey O.
"After the few years I've spent in the EML department, I have never once doubted my decision to be an English major. It was truly the best decision for my career, and I owe it to all of the faculty and students who continue to support me every day."
-Edison M.
"I don't know why it's so hard to come up with a quote...I love the EML department so much I just don't know how to put it into words. One quote just isn't good enough."
-Maria D.
"What I love about the EML creative writing community is meeting a network of kind people who are interested in helping others with their writing and improving theirs too, creating a safe space for everyone."
-Tim M.
"The EML program has given me not only professional opportunities, but chances for personal growth. I have received more grace, compassion, and understanding from my peers and professionals than I thought was possible. I feel wholeheartedly supported by my peers, but they still manage to push me to be the best version of myself. I have found some of my best friends and favorite people taking EML courses."
